Blood and Infusion Warming System

Warm infusions and transfusions help protect your patient from hypothermia in the Operating Room and the Intensive Care Units. Astotherm Plus warms all infusions and transfusions by a dry flow-heating method for daily use. Astotherm Plus is ready for use once plugged in and provides warmth to the patient without the requirements of pre-warming. This allows fluid and blood units to be kept in the refrigerator until they are ready for use.

The Astotherm Plus can cover over 97% of clinically relevant transfusion and infusion rates.

Astotube® – The PVC
extension line
While other warmers frequently require expensive disposable warming cassettes or disposable heated profiles, Astotube is an economical, disposable extension line, suitable for all applications of warming with Astotherm Plus.

Astoline® – Actively Heated Profile
Approximately 98% of all transfusions and infusions are infused at flow rates below 2,500 ml/h. In this range Astoline provides active protection against fluids cooling down. Blood and infusions reach the venous cannula of the patient at the temperature that was desired even in the case of small or average flow rates.

Heat Protective Sleeve
The Heat Protective Sleeve is available as an option with the Astotherm Plus 220 or it comes standard with the Astotherm Plus 220S. The sleeve helps protect the heating element and keep the fluid line from being exposed to the environment.
